Lip-Bu Tan

Lip-Bu Tan serves as Chairman of Walden International since 1984 and has held the position of Founding Managing Partner at Walden Catalyst Ventures since January 2020. As Executive Chairman and Chairman of the Board at SambaNova Systems since November 2017, Tan also plays a significant role as a Board Member at Schneider Electric Energy & Sustainability Services and as Chairman of the Board for multiple organizations including Credo, Artera.ai, and Greenstone Biosciences. In addition, Tan is a Founding Managing Partner at Celesta Capital and a Member of the Board of Trustees at Fuller Theological Seminary. Educational qualifications include an Honorary Doctor's Degree in Humane Letters from the University of San Francisco and advanced degrees in business, nuclear engineering, and physics from prestigious institutions.
