Teemu Seikkula has gained significant work experience in various roles and companies. Teemu started their career as an International Trainee at KONE Corporation in 2002. Teemu then worked as an Investment Specialist at Elisa Group (pension fund) from 2003 to 2005. After that, they joined Sampo plc, where they held several positions including Controller from 2005 to 2011, Group Controller from 2011 to 2018, acting Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO) in 2018, and currently serves as the Head of Group Control since January 2019.

Teemu Seikkula completed their Master's degree in Accounting and Finance from Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu, Helsinki School of Economics, between 1998 and 2003. Teemu pursued further studies at the University of Helsinki, where they obtained a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in Economics from 2002 to 2012. Additionally, in 2001, Teemu Seikkula was an exchange student at the Ivey Business School at Western University, focusing on Finance for a short period.
