Vanessa Smith

Vanessa Smith's work experience includes various roles in leadership and human resources. Vanessa started in 2006 as a Recruiting Coordinator at Walmart and later served as a Project Manager in the Office of Diversity. Vanessa then became a Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition and later a Director of the People Team for the Southern California region. In 2014, they led the innovative operations of a centralized hiring and training center in North Texas. From 2015 to 2020, Vanessa was a Senior Director of Human Resources for Walmart US, responsible for talent management, digital workforce transformation, and associate relations. Currently, they are the Vice President of Operations People Business Partner at Sam's Club, where they provide counsel to senior operations leaders and drives financial results through policies and programs.

Vanessa Smith attended Arkansas Tech University from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Administration/Management.
