Amy Day-O'Connor has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Amy most recently worked at Samsara as the Senior Director of Brand & Creative. Prior to that, they were the Director of Brand, Creative & Integrated Marketing, Video & Access Control at Motorola Solutions. Amy also held various roles at Avigilon, where they were the Director of Global Communications and led a team handling social media, video content, copy editing, internal communications, corporate social responsibility, advertising, and public relations. Amy also played a crucial role in supporting a one billion dollar acquisition at Avigilon. Before that, they worked as the Communications Manager at PwC Canada, where they led all internal and external communication activities for the 6 PwC offices in Western Canada. Amy also gained experience at the UK Prime Minister's Office, where they organized media logistics for an international conference and at the Canadian Prime Minister's Office, where they served as an Issues Manager to Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Amy also worked as a Senior Consultant at NATIONAL Public Relations, where they provided strategic communications, media relations, stakeholder engagement, issues management, and government relations advice to clients. Amy began their career at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, British Consulate-General Vancouver, where they held the role of Media, Policy and Public Affairs Officer, and later, they had a four-month secondment at the G8 Presidency Unit, British Foreign Office, working as a G8 Summit Delegation Liaison Officer/Media Logistics. Amy's experience also includes serving as a Communications Board of Directors member at the Take a Hike Youth at Risk Foundation.
Amy Day-O'Connor holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and English Literature from The University of British Columbia. In 2009, they pursued a Masters Degree in Public International Law & International Relations at Utrecht University. Additionally, they participated in an International Exchange Program in Political Science at Leiden University. The rest of their education history remains unknown.
