Ernie Aguilar

Ernie Aguilar is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in firmware and embedded software development, currently serving as a Sr Staff Firmware Engineer at Samsara since April 2021, after a tenure as a Sr Staff Firmware Engineer at Whistle Labs. At Whistle Labs, Ernie led the development of embedded firmware for pet activity monitors and GPS tracking solutions, managing various aspects of system architecture and implementation. Previous roles include firmware development for consumer products at Apple Inc. and embedded system development at Freescale Semiconductor, along with foundational experience at SigmaTel and the University of Texas at Austin. Ernie Aguilar holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
