Rooney Lee has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Currently, they are the Director of Business Development at Samsung Biologics since 2020. Previously, from 2011 to 2020, they worked at Samsung Display as a Senior Manager, responsible for managing the Samsung Visual Display Division, handling Chinese customers, and establishing new supply chain management systems. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2008, they held a managerial position at PT CHANGSHIN INDONESIA.

Rooney Lee holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Pukyong National University, which was earned from 1997 to 2001. Following this, Rooney pursued a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Pukyong National University, completing it from 2001 to 2004.
