Sang Yoon

Sang Yoon has a strong background and extensive experience in quality management, operations, and continuous improvement. Sang currently serves as a Senior Director of Quality at Samsung Biologics, where they lead teams and provides quality and operational oversight for multiple biologics. Prior to this, they worked as the Quality Site Head at Theragent Inc, responsible for implementing the Quality Management System and overseeing quality operations. Sang Yoon also held the position of Director of Operations and Quality at Atara Biotherapeutics, where they contributed to the approval of an Allogeneic Cell Therapy product and designed and started up a Cell Therapy facility. Sang has also played a significant role in the transformation of healthcare organizations, serving as the National Director of Business Transformation at HealthCare Partners, and as a Master Black Belt - Director of Operational Excellence at Providence Health & Services. In addition, Sang Yoon has extensive experience in Lean Six Sigma, having worked as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Continuous Improvement Manager at Baxter Healthcare Corporation, where they led the deployment of Lean Six Sigma methodology in manufacturing and operations. Sang also held roles as a Senior Principal Six Sigma Black Belt Engineer and Senior/Principal Reliability and Quality Engineer at Baxter Healthcare, where they played a key role in product development, problem-solving efforts, and design assurance activities.

Sang Yoon, MBA, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the DePaul Driehaus College of Business, specializing in Leadership and Change Management. Sang also earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Bradley University. Additionally, Sang Yoon has a Certificate in Genome Sciences/Genomics from Stanford University. Sang has obtained various certifications, including the Certified Leadership Development Speaker, Trainer, and Coach from Maxwell Leadership, and the Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) for Pharmaceuticals from the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS). Sang Yoon has also achieved the Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. and completed multiple other professional development courses and certifications.
