Kern Rim

Kern (Ken) Rim currently serves as Corporate EVP at Samsung Electronics since March 2020. Prior to this role, Kern contributed to Qualcomm as Sr. Director of Engineering from August 2013 to March 2020 and spent over 14 years at IBM, holding positions such as STSM/Senior Manager in the SRDC and Research Staff Member at the T. J. Watson Research Center. Kern earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, where studies occurred from 1993 to 1999, and a BSE in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University from 1989 to 1993.
