Liz Teitz

Liz Teitz is a seasoned reporter currently working at the San Antonio Express-News since June 2023. Previously, Liz contributed to the Ouray County Plaindealer and Report for America from June 2020 to May 2023, and covered higher education and state politics for Hearst Connecticut Media Group between August 2019 and May 2020. As an education reporter at the San Antonio Express-News from August 2018 to August 2019, Liz focused on various public school districts, private universities, and charter schools in the area. Additional experience includes reporting for the Beaumont Enterprise, serving as a collegiate correspondent for USA TODAY, and interning with The Herald News, WPRI Media, and WJAR-TV. Liz holds a Bachelor’s Degree in American Studies with a focus on Journalism from Georgetown University and has studied at the University of Sussex.
