Michele Aguilar

Michele Aguilar is an experienced accounting professional with a solid background in financial management and supervision. Currently serving as an Accounting Supervisor at San Antonio Express-News since July 2019, Michele oversees a team of four accountants and manages financial services for 14 newspapers under Hearst Corporation. Prior to this role, Michele worked at Haven for Hope from April 2014 to July 2019 as an Accountant, where responsibilities included grant application research and fiscal budget project management. Michele's career at HEB spanned from October 1998 to November 2013, during which time positions included Credit Receivables Accounting Supervisor, Bank Operations Accountant I, and Credit Receivables Associate Accountant I, focusing on accounts receivable, cash management, and inventory procurement. Michele holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from Our Lady of the Lake University.
