Mike Kampstra

Mike Kampstra has extensive work experience in the field of information technology, with a particular focus on network engineering and security. Mike has held various managerial and leadership roles in well-known organizations. Mike started their career in 2000 as a Network Communications Manager at Build-A-Bear Workshop, where they worked until 2009. Mike then joined San Antonio Water System in 2009 as a Network Engineer and gradually progressed to the role of Manager Network Engineering. In 2015, they briefly worked as a Manager Network Operations at Tesoro Corporation before returning to San Antonio Water System in 2016. At San Antonio Water System, they held positions such as Director of Network & Security Services, Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations, Senior Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations, and currently holds the position of Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer.

Mike Kampstra received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management Information Systems, General from Oklahoma State University. Mike attended the university from 1995 to 2000.
