Traci Lewand

Traci Lewand serves as the Senior Vice President of Operations at San Antonio Zoo since February 2024. As the Founder of Changing SA since September 2019, Traci has spearheaded initiatives under disABILITYsa to promote awareness and implementation of universal changing stations in the community, successfully installing multiple stations in notable locations such as the San Antonio Zoo and Legoland Discovery Center. Previously, Traci held the position of Executive Director of Events at Hemisfair from July 2019 to February 2024, where responsibilities included overseeing educational programming and inclusive event production. Traci also managed events and programming at Hemisfair Park Area Redevelopment Corporation from July 2015 to July 2017, contributing to the redevelopment of Yanaguana Garden. Prior to this, Traci spent two decades at SeaWorld as Operations Manager, supervising various operational disciplines and developing a company-wide "Sensitivity Training" course to enhance employee engagement with individuals of varied abilities.
