Katrina Pescador

Katrina Pescador has extensive experience in various roles related to management, research, and archives. Katrina worked at the San Diego Air & Space Museum from 2005 to the present, holding positions such as Collections & Research Director, Volunteer Programs Director, and Library & Archives Director. In these roles, they managed collections, developed policies and procedures, carried out outreach activities, and conducted research. Prior to that, they owned an ecommerce business called Brontes Treasures from 2000 onwards. Katrina also worked as a Property Manager at Diamond Apartments from 2006 to 2012, overseeing maintenance, repairs, leasing, and community relations. From 2003 to 2005, they served as a Human Resources Administrator at Time Warner Cable, handling new hires, professional development, employee benefits, and leave of absences. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Project Archivist at the California State University Urban Archives Center, where they processed and preserved historical documents. Katrina also interned as an Archives Intern at California State University, Northridge, organizing the papers of Cesar Chavez. Additionally, they gained experience as a NEX Store Supervisor/Uniform Specialist at NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM), managing employees and focusing on customer service. From 1990 to 1992, they worked as a Retail Store Manager at Electrogames Plus, overseeing multiple locations. Lastly, they started their career as a Museum Assistant at Yakima Valley Museum.

Katrina Pescador holds a Master of Arts degree in History with a specialization in Archival Administration from California State University, Northridge. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from California State University Channel Islands. Katrina also holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree from Shoreline Community College. Additionally, Katrina has pursued studies in Nonprofit Management at the University of San Diego.
