Michael Benik is a knowledgeable and experienced professional with a robust background in aerospace and education. Serving as a Docent and Docent-in-training at the San Diego Air & Space Museum since October 2021, Michael previously contributed to NASA in various roles from 2005 to 2012, ultimately becoming Director of Center Operations. Michael's extensive experience also includes guiding tours at Lyon Arboretum, serving as a Docent at the Hawaii Army Museum, and working as a Volunteer Interpretive Ranger with the National Park Service. Michael holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Cleveland State University and Florida Institute of Technology, respectively, and possesses a rich history of engaging with the public about space exploration and natural history.
