Ben Naman

Ben Naman's work experience includes serving as the Director of Medicinal Plants Research at San Diego Botanic Garden since May 2022. Previously, they held the positions of Deputy Director of Marine Pharmacy and Associate Professor at Ningbo University from 2017 to 2022. Ben also served as the President and CEO of CyanoRx, Inc. from 2018 to 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, San Diego from 2015 to 2017 and as a Ph.D. Student and Research Fellow at The Ohio State University from 2010 to 2015. Additionally, they started their career as a Research Associate and Research Technologist at Givaudan Flavors from 2006 to 2010.

Ben Naman began their education at Taylor Allderdice High School from 1998 to 2002, although the specific degree or field of study is unknown. Ben then attended Carnegie Mellon University from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry & Psychology. Continuing their education, Ben pursued a doctoral degree at The Ohio State University from 2010 to 2015 in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Finally, they attended the Scripps Institution of Oceanography from 2015 to 2017, completing a postdoctoral program in Marine Biotechnology and Biomedicine.
