Executive Director, Whole Child And Community Design at San Diego County Office of Education

Luisa Paningbatan has a diverse work experience spanning various educational and leadership roles. Luisa is currently serving as the Executive Director of Whole Child and Community Design at the San Diego County Office of Education. Prior to this, they worked at the NYC Department of Education in several positions including Director of School Support and Director of Teacher Recruitment. Additionally, they participated in the Coro Leadership NY program and was an Emerging Political Leaders Fellow at Leadership for Educational Equity. Luisa also worked as a Program Coordinator at the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services and as a Project Assistant at the District of Columbia Public Schools. Before transitioning into the education field, Luisa was a 6th Grade English Language Arts Teacher as part of the Teach for America program and had an internship at Amnesty International.

Luisa Paningbatan holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Advanced Management and Finance from Columbia | SIPA. Luisa also has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History from UCLA. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Education from Bank Street College of Education. Finally, Luisa completed an Associate of Arts (AA) in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Long Beach City College.
