Steve Workman

Steve Workman is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in safety, human resources, and employee relations. As the Departmental Safety Coordinator for San Diego County Sheriff since February 2014, Steve has been responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of a comprehensive safety program. Prior to this role, Steve served as a Human Resource Business Partner at Tapestry Solutions, Inc. and held various safety and HR positions at Cobham Sensor Systems San Diego and REMEC Defense & Space. Steve’s educational background includes a BA in Human Resources from National University and an AS in General Studies from Vincennes University. Steve has also held leadership positions, such as Chairman of the 2010 Southwest Safety & Health Conference, and has a strong commitment to safety administration and compliance activities across multiple industries.
