Miguel Romero

CCO at San Diego Gas & Electric

Miguel Romero is vice president of energy supply for San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra Energy’s California regulated utilities.

As vice president of energy supply, Romero oversees all aspects of acquiring energy and capacity to serve SDG&E customers, including electric generation and resource planning.

Romero joined Sempra Energy in 2004, with a majority of the time spent serving in various commercial development and management capacities, including renewable-power origination for Sempra Renewables, and mergers & acquisitions for Sempra Energy, among other roles. Prior to joining Sempra, Romero worked for Pacific Gas & Electric Company.

Romero holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of San Diego and a master’s degree in international affairs & management from the University of California, San Diego.
