Tina Nguyen

Tina has 25 years’ experience and deep knowledge of the principles, practices and functions of effective HR management. She has human resources expertise in strategic operational alignment, workforce relations, succession planning, talent management and talent development. She positions HR as a strategic partner by creating programs, policies, practices and procedures that align with the organization’s mission, vision and values.

Tina holds a bachelor’s in psychology from San Diego State University and is nationally certified by HRCI as Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), nationally certified by the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP) and has a certificate in human resources management from UCSD and completed UCSD Extension’s Human Resources Leadership Program.

Tina has held various leadership roles in human resources, supporting and driving initiatives to render positive organizational results while creating an exciting environment to facilitate innovation, a high-performing workforce as well as ways to make work fun!

At SDHS, Tina also leads the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives to strive for equal representation and to ensure all voices are heard, considered and, above all, respected.
