Elizabeth Fittro

Major Gifts Officer at San Diego Opera

Elizabeth Fittro is currently a Development Associate at San Diego Opera. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Leasing Consultant at American Assets Trust, Inc. from May 2020 to October 2021. In this role, Elizabeth was responsible for asset management for a large multi-family residential community. This included processing and verifying new residents according to fair housing regulations, generating new leases, and facilitating a positive resident experience. Elizabeth also helped the Loma Palisades management team achieve their occupancy goals through sustained marketing strategies to drive traffic, open house events to meet prospects, online advertising, and resident referrals in a fast-paced apartment community.

Before their work in property management, Elizabeth was a performing artist and outreach assistant at City Ballet of San Diego from August 2017 to March 2020. In this role, they worked with the community engagement team to develop and implement outreach programs designed to build relationships with local organizations and individuals. Elizabeth also performed in various productions with the ballet company.

Elizabeth has a passion for the performing arts and believes that everyone should have access to high-quality arts education and experiences. Elizabeth is excited to be working in development at San Diego Opera, where they can help secure the resources necessary to continue producing world-class opera for the people of San Diego.

Elizabeth Fittro has a Bachelor's degree in Ballet Performance and Political Science from Indiana University Bloomington.

Their manager is Peter Shavitz, Interim Chief Development Officer. They are on a team with Kevin Boudoin - Development Operations Manager, Darin Dietz - Director of Special Events, and Joleen Guckian - Institutional Giving Officer.
