SDSM started in 1980 by Dr. E. Lee Rice, DO, with a vision to not only give excellent quality medical care, but also allow our patients to achieve optimum health and fitness. Health is much more than just absence of disease. Our goals are to treat diseases and manage injuries, as well as educate our patients on how to realize their true potential. We have a wide variety of services, as well as board-certified, award-winning physicians to accomplish these goals.

The Medical Support Team at San Diego Sports Medicine & Family Health Center is responsible for providing comprehensive aid to both practitioners and patients. This includes assisting with clinical procedures, managing patient records, facilitating physical therapy sessions, and ensuring smooth operation of daily activities. Comprising roles like Certified Athletic Trainers, Medical Assistants, Physical Therapy Aides, and Medical Scribes, the team works collaboratively to ensure that patients receive high-quality care and support throughout their treatment and wellness journey.
