Christopher Irving

Manager of HPC Systems at San Diego Supercomputer Center

Christopher Irving is currently the Manager of HPC Systems at San Diego Supercomputer Center. Christopher has over fifteen years of experience in the field of system administration. Prior to their current position, they were a Senior Systems Administrator at The Scripps Research Institute from January 2007 to October 2011. Before that, they were a System Administrator at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from October 2002 to July 2006.

Christopher has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University. Christopher is passionate about their work and takes great pride in providing high-performance computing resources and support to researchers around the world.

Christopher Irving's educational career began at the New Mexico Military Institute, where they studied computer science and history. Christopher then attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they earned a certification from Mellanox Technologies in Mellanox Certified InfinBand Professional.
