Thomas Tate

Thomas Tate is the current Data Center Manager at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. Thomas has held this position for 1 year and 4 months. Prior to their current position, they worked for Intelishift Technologies for 10 years, where they served as the Data Center Operations Manager. In this role, they managed a team of operations technicians and was responsible for maintaining 24/7 availability of mission critical infrastructure. Thomas also coordinated upgrades or repairs of multiple systems, including the UPS system, fire suppression system, HVAC DX and Air Handler, Chillers, Pumps, DVRs, Access control upgrades, network infrastructure upgrade/refresh, and more. In addition, they conducted audits, hosted regular staff meetings, and performed internal Infrared Scans / Analysis / Remediation.

Before working in data center operations, Thomas worked as a Customer Service Specialist / Bartender at the Tustin Ranch Golf Club for 7 years and 3 months. In this role, they were responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests and club members. Thomas also tended bar and prepared drinks for guests.

Thomas Tate attended California State University, Fullerton from 2011-2016 and earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an Emphasis in Information Systems and Decision Sciences.
