Diego Plata

Diego Plata currently holds the position of Assistant Orchestra Personnel Manager at San Diego Symphony since October 2021. Previously, Diego served as Community Opera Fellowship Manager at Opera Omaha from August 2020 to September 2021, and held the role of President at the Utah Flute Association from October 2019 to July 2020. As a Teaching Artist at Salty Cricket Composers Collective from January 2019 to July 2020, Diego contributed to educational initiatives. At the University of Utah, Diego was an Assistant Instructor and Teaching Assistant from August 2015 to December 2019. Additionally, Diego completed a Development Internship with Utah Symphony | Utah Opera during the summer of 2017. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Musical Arts in Flute Performance and Instrumental Conducting from the University of Utah (2015-2018), a Master of Music in Flute Performance from the University of Arkansas (2012-2014), and a Bachelor of Music from Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga (2007-2012).
