Librarian at San Diego Symphony

Rachel Fields has extensive experience in music librarianship, currently serving as a Librarian at the San Diego Symphony since June 2013. Prior to this role, Rachel was a Music Librarian at the Spokane Symphony from November 2009 to May 2013, where responsibilities included managing music rentals, updating catalogs, and preparing performance materials for concerts. Rachel also held positions as a Music Library Fellow at the New World Symphony, Head Librarian at the Brevard Music Center, and Music Library Summer Intern at The Cleveland Orchestra. Rachel began a career in music librarianship as a Bow Marker and Copyist for the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Trumpet Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music, completed in 2007.
