Sean Kennedy

Sean Kennedy is currently the Director of Information Technology at the San Diego Symphony. Prior to that, they were the Director of Information Technology at FMG Suite from June 2016 to July 2021. Sean has been instrumental in FMG Suite's continued growth from 250 to approximately 350 users over a two year period, including a sixth acquisition. Sean also developed a process with HR for New Hire / Separation / Role Change and conducted monthly user audits within HRIS and related systems.

In addition, Sean lead the integration of an additional acquired company with a completely remote user base, including the migration of the tech stack and a complete refresh of all end user hardware. Sean also orchestrated the steps to move the entire employee base to a remote status within 48 hours of the instruction from the C-Team in response to COVID-19 issued guidelines.

Ensuring monthly IT Spend was within Budget and forecast for additional needs including special projects and capacity planning was another one of Sean's responsibilities. Sean also deployed OneLogin IDP across all enterprise users with Multifactor Authentication and established automated account creation with HRIS system. Furthermore, Sean worked closely with the Information Security Director, advised the Security Steering team on any potential threats, breaches, or policy violations to minimize threat vectors. Lastly, they documented process for Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Planning across the enterprise.

Sean Kennedy has a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Information Technology from Point Loma Nazarene University. Sean also has certification from CompTIA in Server +, AXELOS Global Best Practice in ITIL Foundations - IT Service Management, CompTIA in Security +, CompTIA in Network +, and CompTIA in A+.
