Tony Young

Tony Young is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in public affairs, nonprofit management, and governmental relations. Currently serving as the Interim President and CEO of the San Diego Workforce Partnership, Tony also operates Civic Link Strategies, a public affairs firm established in 2014 that specializes in strategic planning and government relations. As President and CEO of RISE San Diego, Tony has driven initiatives to enhance urban leadership and civic engagement since 2014. Previous roles include Chief Executive Officer at the American Red Cross and various positions within the City of San Diego, where Tony was City Council President. An educator at the San Diego Unified School District and a former Legislative Analyst for the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, Tony's academic background includes degrees from Howard University and the University of San Diego, along with an Executive Leadership Certificate from Harvard Business School.
