Lizzy Woods

English/english Language Development Teacher/eld Lead at SAN DIEGUITO UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT

Lizzy Woods has extensive experience in education, primarily as an English teacher. Lizzy began their teaching career in 2012 as a student teacher for the San Diego Unified School District. From there, they worked as a substitute teacher for both the San Diego Unified School District and the San Dieguito Union High School District. In 2013, they became an English teacher and speech and debate teacher at San Dieguito Union High School District-La Costa Canyon High School. Lizzy then advanced to become an English/English Language Development teacher and ELD Lead for the San Dieguito Union High School District. Throughout their career, Lizzy has demonstrated a strong commitment to education and has gained valuable experience in teaching and leadership roles.

Lizzy Woods completed their education with a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Cross-Cultural Teaching from National University in 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Single-Subject English Credential from National University between 2010 and 2012. In 2009, Lizzy pursued their undergraduate studies in Literature and Writing at California State University San Marcos, which they completed in 2009. Before their time at California State University, Lizzy attended Colorado State University from 2005 to 2007, where they focused on English/Language Arts Teacher Education. Lastly, Lizzy attended Torrey Pines High School, but no specific degree or field of study was provided for this period.
