Matthew Petrillo currently serves as Executive Vice President for the San Francisco 49ers and as General Counsel and Vice President for DeBartolo Corporation, roles held since August 2025. Prior to these positions, Matthew was a Partner at Reed Smith LLP from January 2011 to August 2025, focusing on commercial lending and trade finance within the Energy and Natural Resources Group. Matthew also gained experience as an Associate at Accenture and as a Corporate and Litigation Associate at Winston & Strawn LLP, where work encompassed project finance, mergers and acquisitions, and various litigation cases. Matthew earned a J.D., Cum Laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a B.B.A., Magna Cum Laude, in Finance and English from the University of Notre Dame.
