David Campos has a diverse work experience in various roles within the government and political sector. David is currently serving as the Vice Chair of the California Democratic Party since 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Criminal Justice Attorney/Chief of Staff at the San Francisco District Attorney's Office starting in September 2020. From 2017 to 2021, they held the position of Chair at the San Francisco Democratic Party. David also served as a Deputy County Executive at the County of Santa Clara from 2017 to 2020. David'searlier roles include being a District 9 Supervisor at the City and County of San Francisco from 2008 to 2016, a Commissioner at the San Francisco Police Commission from 2005 to 2008, a General Counsel at the San Francisco Unified School District from 2004 to 2007, and a Deputy City Attorney at the City and County of San Francisco from 1999 to 2004.
David Campos completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science at Stanford University from 1989 to 1993. Following that, they pursued their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree at Harvard Law School from 1993 to 1996.
