Paul Rose

Paul Rose has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of communications and public relations. Paul is currently serving as the Chief External Relations and Communications Officer at the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation. Prior to this, they worked as a Partner at Lighthouse Public Affairs.

Before joining Lighthouse Public Affairs, Paul held the position of Media Relations Lead/Chief Spokesperson at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) for nearly a decade. In this role, they served as the chief spokesperson for the agency and managed strategic communications. Paul also coordinated high-level media strategies with various government agencies and managed social media efforts.

Earlier in their career, Paul worked as the Director of Communications at the Oakland Office of the Mayor, Ron Dellums. Paul also held the position of Communications Manager at the American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter, where they led media relations and developed comprehensive communication strategies.

Before moving to the Bay Area, Paul worked as the Press Secretary for New York City Council Speaker Gifford Miller and as the Deputy Press Secretary at the NYC Department of Education. Paul began their career as an Assistant Press Secretary for Governor Gray Davis.

Overall, Paul Rose has extensive experience in managing communications, media relations, and public affairs for various organizations and government agencies.

Paul Rose attended San Francisco State University from 1997 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.
