Mei Li

Assistant General Counsel at SFMOMA

Mei Li is an experienced transactional attorney with a specialization in startups and venture financings. Currently serving as Assistant General Counsel at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art since February 2020, Mei previously held the role of General Counsel Fellow. Prior to SFMOMA, Mei worked as an Associate in Business Transactions at Farella Braun + Martel LLP and in Emerging Companies at Cooley LLP. Earlier roles include legal design and special projects internships at IDEO and Casetext, respectively, as well as multiple summer associate positions at Latham & Watkins and Cooley LLP. Mei Li holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Stanford Law School and a B.A. in Art History and International Relations from Stanford University. Additionally, experience in the hospitality industry as a manager at Hillstone Restaurant Group has contributed to a diverse professional background.
