Kelsey Ryburn

Kelsey Ryburn is a Deputy Public Defender at the San Francisco Public Defender's Office, a position held since December 2017. Prior experience includes roles as an Associate Attorney at the Law Offices at 255 Kansas and as a 987 Clerk and Intern at the same public defender's office. Kelsey's legal experience extends to a Legal Extern position with the Association of Defense Counsel Practicing Before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, where analysis and memoranda preparation were key responsibilities. Additional experience includes serving as Regional Head for the Community Land Rights CaseBase Project at Namati, managing USAID contract compliance at Tetra Tech DPK, and conducting legal research at UC Hastings College of the Law. Kelsey holds an LL.M. in International Law from SOAS University of London, a JD from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from UC Santa Barbara.
