Nitin Sapra

Nitin Sapra currently works as a Deputy Public Defender at the San Francisco Public Defender's Office, a position held since June 2019, where responsibilities include advising clients throughout the criminal justice process and formulating defense strategies. Previously, Nitin gained experience as a Court-Certified Post-Bar attorney at the Sacramento County Office of the Public Defender and as a court-certified law clerk in the Criminal Practice Clinic at San Francisco Public Defender's Office. Additional roles include law clerk positions at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia and the California Appellate Project, as well as an intern investigator role at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. Nitin holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
