Karen Strauss

Karen Strauss has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Karen began their career as the Development Director at the National Center for Lesbian Rights in 1987 and held this position until 1991. Karen then worked as the Development Director for Coro Northern California from 1991 to 1992. In 1994, they joined the San Francisco Public Library, where they held several positions including Assistant Chief of Main from 2005 to 2013 and Chief of Main from 2013 to the present.

Karen Strauss completed their Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1992-1993.
