Leni Matthews

Leni Matthews is an experienced educator and librarian with a robust background in library management and user experience. Currently serving as Librarian II and Manager at the San Francisco Public Library since May 2022, Leni previously held a similar managerial role at Oakland Public Library and has extensive experience as a librarian at San Mateo County Community College District and as a tutor at San Francisco Public Library. Leni's career began in education, working as a teacher in Chicago Public Schools and providing volunteer ESL instruction. Leni holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's Degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Chicago State University.
