Peter Gallotta

Peter Gallotta is an experienced marketing and communications professional with a focus on public utilities and environmental policy. Currently serving as the Marketing & Communications Manager for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission since October 2019, Peter leads a five-person team in promoting clean energy programs such as CleanPowerSF and Hetch Hetchy Power. Previous roles include Public Relations & Policy Coordinator at the San Francisco Department of the Environment, where Peter developed legislative priorities and managed media strategy, and Project Manager at Gigantic Idea Studio, overseeing client portfolios and outreach campaigns. Peter's background also includes fellowships in community engagement and early career positions in legal assistance and organizing. Peter holds a Master of Public Affairs from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University.
