Robin Freeman has a diverse work experience in the field of marketing and communications in the arts and cultural sector. Robin is currently serving as the Interim Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at the San Francisco Symphony since July 2022. Prior to this role, they held positions at the symphony as the Senior Director of Communications from June 2020 to June 2022, and as the Director of Public Relations from April 2016 to June 2020.
Before joining the San Francisco Symphony, Robin worked as the Associate Director of Communications at Sonoma State University's Green Music Center from January 2015 to April 2016.
Earlier in their career, they gained experience at various organizations such as the San Francisco Opera as the Communications Manager from April 2011 to January 2015, and as the Communications Associate from April 2007 to April 2011. Robin also worked as the Director of Marketing and Communications at the Charleston Symphony Orchestra from April 2007 to April 2008.

Robin started their career at the Chicago Opera Theater as a Marketing and Public Relations Assistant from January 2004 to June 2004.
Robin Freeman attended Wheaton College from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Music Performance degree. In addition to their bachelor's degree, they also hold a Certificate in Marketing Strategy from Cornell University, which they obtained in January 2022. Furthermore, they completed the Emerging Leaders Program from the League of American Orchestras in June 2020.
