Maxwell Magnus

Maxwell Magnus is an experienced fire and emergency services professional with a robust background in firefighting, emergency medical services, and technical rescue operations. Currently serving as a Fire Captain at the San José Fire Department since June 2013, Maxwell leads a crew while also performing a wide range of emergency and non-emergency activities, including hazardous materials mitigation and public education. Additionally, Maxwell works as a per diem paramedic for the San Francisco Fire Department. Prior experience includes roles as a firefighter/paramedic for both the Palo Alto Fire Department and American Medical Response, as well as serving as a Skills Instructor at the College of San Mateo. Maxwell holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications/Business from Southern New Hampshire University and various relevant certifications and licenses in fire science and emergency medical technology.
