Robert Summa

Robert Summa is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in various editorial and management roles. Currently, Robert serves as Deputy Editor at The Mercury News since October 2024. Prior to this position, Robert was Editor at APPEAL-DEMOCRAT NEWSPAPER from August 2021 to October 2024 and spent eight years as a Copy Editor and Page Designer at Temple Daily Telegram. Robert's diverse background includes contributions as a writer for Destructoid.com, player support for NCsoft games, and management roles at the Santa Monica Daily Press and GGL. Robert has also served as Editor in Chief at Destructoid Video Game News and Tech Editor at Metro US, where Robert introduced videogame coverage. Robert holds a degree in Journalism with a focus on Print and Broadcast Journalism, as well as Psychology from Hofstra University.
