Melanie Samay is an accomplished marketing and communications professional with extensive experience in the museum sector. Currently serving as the Director of Marketing and Communications at the San Jose Museum of Art since July 2018, Melanie leads a team and manages the department budget while overseeing all digital and print communications. Previously, Melanie held several positions at The Contemporary Jewish Museum from 2009 to 2018, including Interim Director of Marketing and Communications, where responsibilities included executing advertising campaigns, maintaining institutional branding, and managing digital engagement strategies. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Fordham University and a Master's degree in Literature from San Francisco State University.
