Thomas Speer

Thomas Speer is an experienced goalie coach currently serving as the Goalie Coach for the San Jose Sharks since July 2022. Prior to this role, Thomas was the Calgary Flames Development Goalie Coach from October 2019 to July 2022 and the National Goaltending Coach for USA Hockey from October 2017 to October 2019. Thomas has also held positions such as Director of Coach and Camp Development at Elite Goalies, where responsibilities included hiring regional coaches, and instructor with Mike Valley of the Dallas Stars. Additional coaching experience includes roles with the Allen Americans Professional Hockey Club, Dallas Stars, Wichita Falls Wildcats, and the Idaho Steelheads as a player. Thomas's educational background includes studies at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens, UMass Boston, and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
