Mohamed Abousalem

Mohamed Abousalem is the Vice President of Research and Innovation at San Jose State University. Mohamed has also served as the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Industry Research Alliances and IP Commercialization at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and as the CEO of TECTERRA Inc.

Abousalem has over 19 years of experience in technology commercialization, entrepreneurship, and business development. Mohamed has a strong track record in leading and growing organizations, raising capital, and executing strategies that create value.

Abousalem has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.

Mohamed Abousalem has an MBA from Santa Clara University in Leading People and Organizations, a Ph.D. from the University of Calgary in Geomatics Engineering, and an M.Sc. from the University of Calgary in Geomatics/Surveying Engineering. Mohamed also has M.Sc. courses in Surveying Engineering from Alexandria University and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Alexandria University.
