Shannon Miller

Shannon Miller is the current Dean of Humanities and the Arts at San Jose State University. Prior to their current position, Shannon was the HR Operations Manager at Quixey from October 2015 to June 2017. At Quixey, Shannon was responsible for leading the delivery of HR services and process management for 300+ employees globally and a contingent workforce located across the U.S, China, India, and Israel. Shannon also processed over $25M in international payroll and health and welfare benefits.

While at Quixey, Shannon focused on operational excellence, customer service, service delivery, process enhancements, issue resolution, analytics, vendor management, HR technology expertise and process execution. Shannon was also able to successfully redesign Quixey's benefits offerings, consolidate and realign vendors - resulting in $2M+ annual cost savings. In addition to these accomplishments, Shannon also managed open enrollment and employee communication effectively.

As the direct supervisor for admin support staff, Shannon was the primary stakeholder for HR operations, vendor management, office administration and facilities support operations - from procurement to invoicing. Shannon partnered with the VP of HR to resolve highly confidential ER issues and worked directly with the VP of HR and Executive Team to execute an enterprise wide global reorganization. The reduction in force activities were conducted across 4 global sites - requiring international travel and coordination of full office closures.

When the decision was made to managed wind down global company operations, Shannon assisted in the project management -

Shannon Miller has a professional in human resources (PHR) and is currently studying for it. Shannon also has a certification in human resources management from San Francisco State University. Shannon has a Bachelor's degree in hospitality administration with an option in event management from California State University-Chico. Shannon also has general education from Butte College.
