R. Shane Chance

R Shane Chance has served on the San Juan College Board of Trustees in 204, representing district 6.

In 1991, Chance obtained his associates degree from San Juan College, and in 1993, earned his bachelor’s degree in accountancy from New Mexico State University (NMSU).

In 1996, chance became a Certified Public Accountant, and opened his own accounting firm in Aztec in 1997, where he remains to date. In addition to serving on the San Juan College Board of Trustees, Chance has previously served as the board secretary/treasurer for the San Juan County Partnership, and as board treasurer for the San Juan Center of Independence.
