Paulette Smith

Paulette Smith is a dedicated education leader with over 16 years of experience in various roles within the school system. Currently serving as Principal at James Madison Elementary School in the San Leandro Unified School District since July 2019, Paulette emphasizes the importance of creating inclusive learning environments. Previous positions include Principal at Stockton Unified School District and School Principal at Oakland Unified School District, where responsibilities involved supervising instructional programs and managing significant budgets. Paulette has also contributed as Director of Emerging Leaders for New Leaders for New Schools and as an Adjunct Professor at the Reach Institute for School Leadership.
