Annie Altwarg has diverse work experience in various fields. Annie began their career as a Camp Counselor at Sanborn Western Camps/Colorado Outdoor Education Center, where they led backpacking trips and facilitated engaging activities. Annie later worked as an Orientation Mentor at Ithaca College, supporting the implementation of the college's first Fall orientation program.

Annie then joined Shipt as a Shipt Shopper, managing and delivering orders during a challenging time. Annie also worked as a Field Instructor at Endless Horizons, developing education curriculum and engagement for youth during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In 2021, they served as a Field Instructor at Calleva Outdoors, ensuring safe experiences for clients on the Potomac River. Annie also worked as a Program Director at Paddle-n-More, developing a program to increase access to watersports for underserved populations in Ithaca.

Annie was a Field Guide at Natural Leaders, where they created an outdoor education curriculum for students aged six to twelve. Annie also served as a Research Consultant at Mission2Market, analyzing tourism taxes in Colorado and finding alternative financing solutions for tourism projects.

For their graduate school capstone project, Annie worked as an HOV Project Manager at San Luis Valley Great Outdoors, serving as a grant writer for state and federal programs.

Most recently, they joined PeopleForBikes as a Policy and Research Intern, where their responsibilities include creating lists of electric bicycle areas and assisting in building an online research library.

Throughout their various roles, Annie has demonstrated a passion for the outdoors and a commitment to enhancing access to recreational opportunities. Their experience spans from education and program development to policy and research, showcasing their versatility and dedication in these areas.

Annie Altwarg completed their Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on the Outdoor Industry at Western Colorado University - School of Graduate Studies. Annie attended this program from 2021 to 2023. Before pursuing their MBA, Annie Altwarg obtained their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Ithaca College between 2017 and 2020. Annie also has certifications in Advanced Google Analytics from Google, which they obtained in October 2021, and Wilderness First Responder from SOLO Southeast, obtained in January 2020. Additionally, they have a certification in Microsoft Excel from Microsoft, obtained in 2018.
