Nelson Hunter

Nelson Hunter currently serves as Principal at Laurel Elementary School within the San Mateo-Foster City School District since July 2020. Previously, Nelson held the roles of Assistant Principal at Bayside Academy and Audubon Elementary. Prior to this, Nelson worked as an Assistant Principal in Sunnyvale School District from August 2019 to July 2020 and as Vice Principal in Ravenswood City School District, where Nelson contributed as a Bilingual Vice Principal in a Spanish Dual-Immersion school from April 2014 to June 2019. Nelson's teaching experience includes serving as a Bilingual Teacher for 4th and 5th grades, where responsibilities included Math/ELA District Lead and co-facilitating the TECHIE Teacher Team. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in School Administration from Notre Dame de Namur University, earned between 2016 and 2018.
