Amin Yahyaabadi

Robotics Control Engineer at Sanctuary AI

Amin Yahyaabadi has worked in a variety of roles since 2013. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Jury Member and Alympiad competition participants test grader at Isfahan Mathematics House. From 2014 to 2016, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Isfahan University of Technology. Amin'sresearch focused on developing an intelligent control method for a distributed system using a self-sensing piezoelectric actuator and PSO. Amin also modeled the dynamics of the system with a novel FEA+FDA method to test the controller. From 2018 to 2022, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Manitoba. Amin'sresearch focused on designing an intelligent drone testbed used for validation of new satellite or drone control algorithms and hardware. Amin identified the dynamics of the drone intelligently with minimal measuring using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and developed a custom onboard software for the drone to autonomously control the drone's motion and operations. Amin also developed machine learning and analytical image processing algorithms for satellite's onboard detection of resident space objects (RSOs) from commercial-off-the-shelf star trackers. Amin is currently a Robotics Control Engineer at Sanctuary AI.

Amin Yahyaabadi has a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba, which they completed in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology in 2018. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Parallel and Concurrent Programming with C++ Part 1, C Programming for Embedded Applications, and C++: Advanced Topics from LinkedIn in 2021. In 2012, they were qualified as very good in Mathematics Alympiad Final International Round in Netherlands from the Freudenthal Institute for Science and Mathematics Education.
