Jeremy Fishel is a Principal Scientist at Sanctuary AI, leading research and development in tactile sensing and dexterous manipulation for humanoid robots since March 2023. Previously, Jeremy founded Tangible Research, which focused on haptics and telepresence, and developed the Tactile Telerobot, the first system allowing true bilateral telemanipulation with touch. As an Assistant Professor at California State University, Chico, Jeremy taught various engineering courses and adapted to challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Jeremy co-founded SynTouch, Inc., where responsibilities included acting as Chief Technology Officer and Director of Research, overseeing R&D and product development. Jeremy holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and multiple Master’s degrees from the University of Southern California, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach.
